The oldest afternoon newspaper in Vermont, the St. Albans Messenger began publishing around the time of the Civil War and since then has served residents of Franklin County and Northwestern Vermont with local news and sports coverage.
A family-owned newspaper. In the past five years alone the Messenger has garnered over 40 journalism awards in national, regional and statewide competitions.
