Izzy's Ice Cream Cafe sits right next door to Izzy's Ice Cream factory, so you know the ice cream is fresh! Izzy's specializes in hand-made, decadent ice cream in a wide variety of ever-changing flavors. You never know what you're going to get when you walk through the door, but all of the 50-odd kinds you can get are worth the visit. Flavors range from the usual Vanilla, Bubblegum, Cotton Candy, and Oreo varieties to the more adventurous Guinness, Dark Chocolate Zin, Fig Tart, and Norwegian Chai. If you have a favorite that's not on display, asking the server will usually get you what you're craving from the freezer next door!
In addition, every scoop or double scoop of ice cream gets a free "Izzy Scoop" - a mini-scoop of any flavor of your choice, popped on top to create an instant ice cream cocktail.
Izzy's customers will tell you this is the best ice cream in the Twin Cities. The shop has received numerous local and national awards, and Bobby Flay even brought his Food Network show "Throwdown" to Izzy's for a fun ice-cream challenge. If you look closely at the aerial photos, you can also get a good look at the 200+ solar panels on top of the factory - Izzy's is the first-ever ice cream factory running on solar power, producing 8.6 kilowatts of power during peak production.
