The Angel of Hope is a beautiful, four-ft. bronze sculpture with outstretched arms. It was inspired by Richard Paul Evans national bestseller, "The Christmas Box" -- the story of a woman who mourns the loss of her child.
The River View Cemetery's Angel of Hope was created "to honor those children who are gone from our sight but always in our hearts." It serves as the focal point in River View Cemetery's Garden of Reflection area. This beautiful, open hillside Garden overlooks the city of Portland.
River View Cemetery is located in the southwest section of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1882, it is the oldest not-for-profit cemetery in the Portland area.
Instructions for logging waymark: A photograph is required of you (or your GPS receiver, if you are waymarking solo) and the statue.
