The first phase at the current location was completed in 1985 but, however, its history can be traced back to 1910. An addition was completed in 2004 included the London Muslim Center.
The mosque's proud vision is:
"to provide a range of holistic, culturally sensitive services for the communities of London, drawing on our Islamic values and heritage, with a view to improving quality of life and enhancing community cohesion."
The are able to fulfill their vision by not only reaching out to other mosques within the community, but all faiths within the community - especially the synagogue next door.
