Ocean City is located along a thin barrier island stretching for nearly 9 miles along Maryland's Atlantic Coast to the border of the state of Delaware. A boardwalk runs for miles with the beach on one side and a line of amusement parks, hot dog stands, hotels and tourist shops on the other.

Coordinates are give for the south end of the beach, considered to be the start of the boardwalk.
