This lighthouse stood until 1937 on an wavebreaker 1800mtr into the zuiderzee. In 1932 became de zuiderzee his nowadays name off Ijsselmeer when the afsluitdijk was built. In the 1940's the sea around the lighthouse became land and the lighthouse diappered completely. On june 5, 2008 the replica from the original lighthouse was unveiled by the former lightkeeper Kees Klinkert aged 94.
