Nearby there is informational signs for the Civil War battle of Fox's Gap, monuments to both generals killed the the battle (Union General Jesse L. Reno and Confederate General Samuel Garland), and believe it or not, a Michigan Historical Marker for the Michigan soldiers that served here.
