This wooden footbridge is over a Dartmoor stream at Lake, on the route of the Granite Way, most of the granite way is on an old railway line except for the area between Bridestowe and Lake, the route takes us through country lanes and over this footbridge before joining the railway again. This bridge also takes hikers from Lake to Sourton Tors and out onto the open moorland.
The Granite Way is an 11 mile cycle and walkway running between Okehampton and Lydford along the north western edge of Dartmoor. It is mostly traffic free, largely following the course of the former Southern Region railway line. A route along the Granite Way offers good views of the landscape of Dartmoor, as well as a number of specific sites of geological interest.
