The Imperial War Museum operates the HMS Belfast everyday (except Dec 24-26) to demonstrate the history of this vessel and the life the sailors led.

The HMS Belfast was used in patrols early in World War Two, then was a participant in the landings of D-Day on June 6, 1944 by providing bombardment support.

The HMS Belfast also saw conflict in the Korean War.

Since 1971, all of that history and stories about life of sailors on the HMS Belfast are available to the public.
