In norway the police is a national entity, not provincial or local. , hence the wording of the title for this waymark is not the Stavanger Police department. This police station is fairly interesting. The lobby is an open vestebule at least 3 stories tall with a modern art sculpture suspended in the middle of it. I once assisted the officer on duty at the desk in removing an unwanted drunk from the premisis.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
