Samuel Langhorne Clemens, better known as Mark Twain, is one of the most popular American writers and maybe the most famous of them all. Everybody knows his celebrated novels, featuringthe adventures of "Huckleberry Finn" and "Tom Sawyer".

This Statue is located in Angels Camp, California where Mark Twain found the inspiration for his first famous story, "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County"

Many of the craters on Mercury are named after artists and Mark Twain is one of the many writers so honored.
