CZ Chlum u Hradce Králové. V roce 1866 zde proti sobe stály armády Rakouska a Pruska. Válka byla "rešením" sporu o moc v tzv. Nemeckém spolku a Rakousko v této válce prohrálo bitvou u Hradce Králové (používají se i názvy "Bitva na Chlumu" nebo "Bitva u Sadové"). V této kolosální bitve se proti sobe postavilo a utkalo na 430 000 lidí a tento smutný rekord prekonala v 19. století jen bitva u Lipska roku 1813. Tretí cervencový den roku 1866 figuruje na úmrtním listu 15 000 vojáku.(3. cervence 1866 na bojišti zemrelo, bylo raneno nebo se ztratilo více než 50.000 vojáku) Centrum boju na Chlumu se nalézá asi 10 kilometru od Hradce Králové. Je zde Muzeum - památník války r. 1866, nová rozhledna, Pruský hrbitov, monumentální pomník Baterii mrtvých, kostnice a mnoho dalších pomníku a památek, vše spojeno do valecné stezky. Každorocne se zde konají vzpomínkové akce s rekonstrukcemi bitev (konce cervna).


ENG Chlum near Hradec Králové. In 1866, the armies of Austria and Prussia clashed here. The war was "to resolve" the conflicts over power in the so-called German Union, and Austria lost this war at the battle at Hradec Kralove (the names "Battle of Chlum" or the "Battle of Sadova" are also used). There is a museum here - a memorial to the war of 1866, a new lookout tower, a Prussian cemetery, a powerful memorial to the Battery of the Dead, an ossuary and many other memorials and monuments, all joined by military pathways. A memorial event is held here annually with a reconstruction of the battle (end of June).
