This sculpture was commissioned the Adelaide City Council and SA State Government and was sculptured by Angela and Hossein Valamanesh.

The following is a extract from the Adelaide Review:

"The model shows a grouping of 14 low black granite forms, carved to suggest the fossilised bones of an extinct marine reptile housed in the nearby museum. The top of each piece has a shallow concave surface with a central hole, allowing water to gently flow over the granite in a thin sheet. When seen from North Tce, the sculpture will present a reflective liquid surface. When viewed from above by a person standing close-up, the 14 differently-shaped pieces can be discerned as forming a random pattern enclosed within an egg shape. The water is intended to attract people to run their hands through it, just as the former Bonython fountain in that location was a magnet for kids on school excursions. The granite forms slope from about knee-to-waist height, and this low elevation has the advantage of not competing with the surrounding heritage architecture."
