A state park south of the Leasburg Dam, which blocks the Rio Grande.

To get to the park, take I-25 exit 19 (Radium Springs). Drive west on the main road (Fort Selden Rd), until you see the turn-off sign. Follow this road until the entrance to the park.

An alternate route is to come west from Highway 185 until the turn-off sign. This approach will take you past Fort Selden State Monument.

The park is open year-round, with the gates open from 7am to sunset.

Background:
Leasburg Dam was built in 1908 in as a way to divert water into the many irrigation ditches that run through the Mesilla Valley.
