How far would you go for the sake of a waymark? Or rather, how far would you go to make someone's face light up?!!

This neon sign's origin began with a discussion on the Route 66 Yahoo Group.
Several folks were making a few comments about certain things and someone said, "Hey why don't you all focus your energy toward doing something positive."
To which someone else replied, "What do you expect those who don't live anywhere near the road to do but use this group as a sounding board."
Then, a list of "what folks who don't live anywhere near the road could do" appeared.
I got a big kick out of Number 5.
It was "notice neon."
(Hmmm, do you think the Farkles notice neon?)
So after some consideration I emailed many of the group privately and said, "I have an idea. If I can collect enough funds, I can get a neon sign made for Tow Tater".
Well, we did it! We managed to raise enough funds to have this sign made.
Joe Wiess of Calypso Signs really did an amazing job on this sign!http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WM3XT4
We then were able to present the sign at the annual Route 66 festival held in Litchfield, IL.
Tow Tater is the tow truck that inspired Tow Mater in Pixar's "Cars' back in 2006.
Tow Tater is now here at this Kan-O-Tex service station, recently refurbished by a group of four women, known as 4 Women on the Route.
