If you are traveling north or south along the scenic Great River Road, or if you are traveling east or west along the Historic Lincoln Highway you will pass the edge of Fulton. Turn in and enjoy the history, attractions, and friendly people who make this a great community.

A Dutch ancestry has continued in this town. You will find tulips and wooden shoes on display throughout the town. Dutch Days is the first festival of the year in May. With tulips blooming and Dutch costumes all over town, everyone enjoys the parade and other entertainment.
Fulton citizens raised enough money to purchase a brand new Dutch Windmill. All of the parts were constructed in Holland and then shipped to the United States. Representatives from the company helped with the construction and then trained local folks on how to operate the grain mill within. The windmill is a ‘must see’ for all visitors.

The location of the windmill on top of the flood protection dike also offers a great view of the Mississippi River. This location is also where Historic Lincoln Highway originally crossed the Mississippi River into Iowa. Just downstream is the replacement bridge, but Lincoln Highway (Now U.S. Hwy 30) crosses the Mississippi River about two miles downstream.
