Rachael's Court is the modern name for this former textile mill. The chimney would probably have exhausted fumes from the mill and smoke from steam engine. The building is now 16 flats, which were refurbished in 1997.

The chimney is visible to all who drive the A590 main road. It is at the side of the main roundabout in Ulverston, opposite Myerscough car dealership. The chimney is separated from the old building by a very narrow gap. Viewing is easily possible from streets on both sides.
There is very little about this former mill online. From Google cache. "Rachael's Court is an historic landmark building.
Description:
The property, a former mill then latterly warehouse and retail premises was converted over a period and is now arranged as:
five x three bedroom self contained flats, nine x two bedroom self contained flats, one x one self contained flat and one x studio flat, providing a total of 16 flats.
Arranged over three floors, the building is of stone and flint construction, part rendered with slate roof."
The building was sold again by auction on 7 February 2007, not including the chimney.
