This stamp shows Main Railway Station in Zagreb. It is issued on June 30, 1992 to commemorate the centennial of the Main Railroad Station in Zagreb. Authors of the stamp were Miroslav Sutej and Vilko Ziljak.
Zagreb's Main Railway Station is located in the center of Zagreb on the south side of Tomislav square. Building of the Main Railway Station started in 1890, and it was opened on July 1, 1892.
The Main Railway Station was designed by the Hungarian architect Ferenc Pfaff, head of the Hungarian Railroads Civil Engineering Section. It is designed in neoclassical style. The sculptural works on the Station House were performed by the Hungarian Sculptor Vilim Marschenko.
