Standing on the North shore of Sydney Harbour, the familiar entrance to Luna Park is flanked by two towers whose design was based on the Chrysler Building, an Art Deco skyscraper in New York City. Illuminated at night is can be seen from across the harbour. To enter the Park you walk through the huge mouth of The Face. There have been eight versions of "the face" since its opening in 1935.
