We've all heard the rhyme...
Lizzie Borden took an axe
And gave her mother forty whacks
And when she saw what she had done
She gave her father forty one
This is the home where the murders took place. Lizzie was acquitted of the crime, but remains notorious to this day. The house is now a bed and breakfast. The outside can easily be visited, but the interior of the home is not open to the public.
Date of crime: 08/04/1892
