Gravity pumps fill up a gas tank just following the laws of gravity. That requires the gas to be higher than the car tank which first requires to manually elevating the gasoline to a higher level. Each pump holds nine gallons and works remarkably well and fast.

This is the only gas station in America's deepest canyon. Operation started in 1928, ten years before Kings Canyon Lodge was built and it has been in service continuously ever since.

Hard to say what is older, the pump or the car; but both still work!

Address of the station:
Kings Canyon Lodge
Kings Canyon Road

Type of Gas Station: Still in Service
