According to the church's website, the congregation began in the dining hall of nearby Olivet Nazarene College (now University) in 1940. Slowly as the congregation began to build, the need for a building was felt. This site offered its first services in 1955.
It should be noted, although they are affiliated by denomination and share a close history, the church is not a function of Olivet Nazarene University.
The church and congregation grew and expanded on this site throughout the years. They have even built a second location called the North Campus, which is not part of this waymark.
Service times are Sundays at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
