Beautiful church in downtown Hamilton. I work nearby and I've always noticed the gated archway that leads to a reflective garden courtyard. It wasn't until I stopped today and walked in that I realized that it is a garden for not only prayer but also for loved ones' ashes? There was a plaque there that alluded to the remains of our loved ones.
According to the website, early services were conducted in German,-notice the German sign in one of the pictures. There was a school on the property. It closed around 1918 due to declining enrollment.
