The Rashleigh Mausoleum is situated high on wooded cliffs at the mouth of Fowey harbour. It was constructed in 1867 as the final resting place of local landowner William Rashleigh, along with his wife & daughter. Rashleigh also built "Point Neptune", the large house on the far side of Readymoney Cove (now owned by comedienne Dawn French). The arched monument was built on the site of the medieval chapel of Saint Catherine . The surrounding area is now somewhat overgrown, small paths lead up to it from the west & south sides.
