This lonely chimney is located on Route 104B in the Mexico Point/Texas, New York area.

According to a local resident, this chimney was part of the Murray Rood estate, a very nice house built by Mr. Rood around 1900. It burned down one winter night in the early 1980's. Nothing has been rebuilt here, however, the area was cleared and filled in and is now used by a neighbor for parking his RV.
