This milestone is alongside the turnpike road from Callington to Launceston. It tells travellers that they are 10 miles from Launceston and only 1/2 mile from Callington. This is one of several milestones along this road which have the mileage painted on them and not carved into the stone. Sadly the painted has nearly faded away.
