Built in 1949, this tunnel connected the Kettle Valley Railway train from Princeton, BC to Tulameen. The train went through this area carrying ice, gold, coal and other items.

Several years back the train was considered no longer necessary and the Rails to Trails Society turned it into a great trail system.
The tunnel is huge! Most people ride their ATVs here through the KVR (Kettle Valley Railway) trail system. There is a road that goes down from the top, but it is recommended that you have a good 4x4 to approach it.
