The centrepiece is a large statue of Buddha with his two Bodhisattva disciples. The temple is a place of unusual beauty that has profound spiritual meaning.

Designed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. and built by Kadampa Buddhists as an offering to future generations, the Kadampa Buddhist Temple was opened in 1997 and dedicated to world peace.
It was the first Temple to be built as part of the International Temples Project, an auspicious project to build a World Peace Temple in every major city of the world.
