Rochelle, Illinois has developed a park for all those railroad watching enthusiasts since both the Burlington Northern Santa Fe and the Union Pacific lines have double tracks that cross right here.

As part of the park, the city purchased a home to be used as watchman's quarters and gift shop.

This weathervane sits atop the gift shop portion. Yes, it does work. The train points into the wind.
