You are here is location of Nodaway Island, now, no longer an island in the river, but farm land in Kansas. The Missouri River has moved to the east and the island faded away. This marker has an artist rendition of what it looked like then, and you look aout across the former resting place of the island. Map shows the area now. And you can wonder how it was then.
