St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church formerly St. Johannes Danske Lutherske
Kirke. The church was founded in 1880 serving the community of Danish-Americans
living in the area. This building constructed in 1900 replaces an early building
constructed 1889-1890 which was destroyed by a tornado May 27, 1899. Historical
