These two street signs can both be seen from the given co-ordinates, a crossroad intersection between the two streets. Paua Street is to the west and Punga Street is towards the south, both are one street away from this intersection. We were delighted to discover our names while on a geocaching trip to this small picturesque seaside community on the west coast of the lower North Island.
Tangimoana is a small village set in the sand dune landscape of the area, very close to the sea itself and the mouth of the Rangitikei River. The settlement lies on the southern bank of the Rangitikei River near the mouth. It was developed in the 1920s as a holiday place for people from Palmerston North and other inland towns.
