The village of Pooley Bridge,lies in the Lake District of Cumbria and is a very popular tourist destination,the village is situated at the N.E end of Ullswater which ferries passengers up and down from Glenridding and Howtown on Steamers,that and the nearby caravan parks created a need for a church here to serve the growing tourist trade,the steamers have been carrying tourists and holidaymakers to the village since 1859.
The church is stone built and has a small bell turret with a spire.
