At the summit of Doi Inthanon National Park is a huge flower garden surrounding 2 large pagodas built to honor the king and queen of Thailand. From the walkways around the pagodas you can see all the way to Chiang Mai and out across the mountains and forests below. There is parking below the summit and nice sidewalk for those who are physically able to walk the rest of the way. For those who find the steep climb too strenuous there is a shuttle service - but the park shuttles are the only vehicles allow to drive to the top. The gardens are fabulous and the views spectacular! There's a small restaurant just below the pagodas where you can sit outside eating and enjoying the scenes and the smells of all the flowers.
