July 4, 1902 the cornerstone of the 60' x 60' building was laid. On January 5, 1903, Canon City Public Libray was dedicated. On the main level of the library is reference books, non-fiction, fiction, librarian desk, internet terminals. Upstairs is the Children's section. The basement used to be the history center but moved to a new location in Canon City and much bigger. I believe the history center moved out summer of 2005.
Library is located at 516 Macon Ave.
