Anyone that drives along Effingham Rd has seen this oddity and those that drive it frequently use it as a reference point.

At the end of a driveway, the home owner has placed this novelty that at one time may have served as a shelter for children waiting for the school bus. Perhaps the plan was to install a phone for visitors to call the main house to announce their arrival.

Unfortunately the glass of the telephone box has not survived but the main structure appears to be weathering well. There is no phone within and please take any pictures from the roadside.
