Cinder Hill C.G. (visit link) is located in Newberry National Volcanic Monument which is managed by the Deschutes National Forest. The campground is located in the northeast corner of East Lake, one of two lakes in Newberry Caldera. The campground is a good place to access the north rim portion of the Crater Rim trail and for fishing along the north shore of East Lake.
