The sign here is a stone block forming part of the drystone wall, points the way with arrows to the destinations of Keswick and Easdale Tarn. It does not give the distances, and only Keswick can be reached by road from here. Easdale tarn which is about 2 and a half miles away can only be reached part way by road. The final mile or so is a rough bridleway only, suggesting that the milestone is pre motor vehicle in date.
