Residential areas are built on the south and west rising slopes of this drumlin feature known as Torrisholme Barrow. But the top is clear and it's a popular location offering 360 degree views of the surrounding landscape, especially over Morecambe Bay and Lancaster. On a fine day the Lake District hills are easily seen.
The bowl barrow is a flat topped circular mound of earth and small stones about 32m in diameter. The summit also has this much abused trig point.
Type of Trigpoint: Triangulation Pillar
Condition: Damaged
Number on Flush Bracket: S5369
