This traditional granite built barn has a slated roof. It is a interesting example, notice how it has been built into the hillside so that the farmer can gain access to both floors at ground level. The lower level would have been used for animals and the higher level hay. The barn is situated beside the road at Merrivale on central Dartmoor. There is no access to the barn but it is beside the road and can be clearly seen.
