This memorial is the centerpiece of Spirit Plaza, next to the football stadium at the Blake School in Hopkins, MN. The stadium is named after Gordy Aamoth, Jr - a 1988 graduate of Blake, and a World Trade Center victim of 9/11. The steel beam is from 2 WTC, the South Tower where Gordy worked, and was a gift from the City of New York to the school. A visit to this memorial is a must, and a sobering reminder of the tragic events of that day.
