Danby Beacon can be reached from the A171 and taking the minor unclassified road for about 3 miles S.
Danby Beacon Trigpointstands at the summit of the moor at just under 1000 feet,and the views on a clear day are very far reaching,which include the Yorkshire coast,the moor it self is covered in wild purple heather.
The trigpoint here is a popular stopping point,and also many moorland walks can be started from here.
