This trap is situated on the west side of the brook in tinner's workings. A large cover stone can be seen as well as overgrown funnel walls.
These traps were used to catch weasels and stoats which were the main predators of the rabbit, they were caught in traps which funneled them into a small granite tunnel (usually 1m x 0.5m), and then secured them there with slate shutters, triggered to drop when the animal entered the trap.
