This trap is situated on the east side the the brook in Gutter Tor Mire in tinners rubble. The funnel walls are well preserved.
These traps were used to catch weasels and stoats which were the main predators of the rabbit, they were caught in traps which funneled them into a small granite tunnel (usually 1m x 0.5m), and then secured them there with slate shutters, triggered to drop when the animal entered the trap.
