This trap is situated in the bottom of Gutter Tor Gert, there
is a great view of it from the top of the gert.
These traps were used to catch weasels and stoats which were the main predators of the rabbit, they were caught in traps which funneled them into a small granite tunnel (usually 1m x 0.5m), and then secured them there with slate shutters, triggered to drop when the animal entered the trap.
