BangKhae is a suburb of Bangkok and on the route for the #7 bus that runs out to the little fishing village where I live and teach right now. Mall BangKhae is the first real sign of 21st century on my way to Bangkok. I was frankly shocked to see how popular KFC is here in Thailand (there's even one at the zoo). But it's a little different than in the US. When you order food to dine in they put it on a plate and put your drink in a glass. No paper or plastic. The real thing. Odd but kind of civilized, don't you think?
