Holy Trinity church Seathwaite in the Duddon Valley of the Southern Lake District is where this sundial can be found.
The church is famous for it's association with the Rev'Robert Walker,he was known as "The Wonderful Walker because of William Wordsworth's reference to him in his poem "The excursion" and his sonnet"The river Duddon"
Next to the entrance to the church is the stone Walker used when he clipped sheep at nearby Gatescale farm,the sundial is set into this stone along with a brass plaque detailing the story.
