In November 19, 1863, Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address at the dedication of a national cemetery on a Civil War battlefield in Pennsylvania. This marker commemorates so sublime an occasion, fittingly enough, at another nat'l cemetery.

This marker is located right off a small turn about/circle/rotary. There stands a black marker inscribed with the words from Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address. Considering this historical nature and history of this cemetery with regards to the Civil War, it is quite appropriate that his historical marker be erected here, in his honor, and to mark the solemnity of this site.
I am not sure why, but the monument is in direct line with the Confederate monument as seen from the road. When you look at the picture you will understand. The original speech was given at Gettysburg National Cemetery.
