Fort Caswell Oak Island NC was started in 1825. It was a Confederate States Fort during the civil war and recaptured by the Union.
The Fort is now owned by Baptist State Convention of North Carolina. We stopped at the gate and requested access. You can get a pass to drive through the fort.
