The origins of the R.C.M.P. in Manitoba goes beck to 1873 when the North West Mounted Police was established and sent to settle the West. From that time their main roles have been Protection, Service, Enforcement and Prevention.
Today there are over 700 RCMP officers working in various detachments throughout the province.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
